Our iron-based hard alloys with high vanadium and high chromium content are characterized by tough weld metal with high abrasion resistance. The high chromium content even makes the weld metal corrosion-resistant. This makes materials in this category ideal for applications in the food, plastics, and agricultural engineering industries. Metalizer™ Fe-V15 can be applied without cracking when the heat input is adjusted and can be used at temperatures up to approx. 650 °C. Typical areas of application are heavily stressed components such as knives, screw conveyors, mixing tools, or tool inserts in abrasive and corrosive environments.
