Metalizer™ Cu-SnNi12 is a tin bronze based on CuSn12Ni2 (CC484K), which is characterized by excellent sliding and emergency running properties combined with high strength and good corrosion resistance. The alloy contains approx. 12% tin and 2% nickel, resulting in a fine, hard α and δ microstructure that performs well under mixed friction conditions – even with minimal lubrication or dry running. It is therefore suitable for build-up welding on steel or similar bronze bases and is used in particular for the regeneration of worn bearing points, the construction of slide guides, bearing shells, piston rods, and hydraulic components. Metalizer™ Cu-SnNi12 is also a proven material in rolling mill, turbine, and conveyor technology for durable, lubricant-compatible surfaces with high surface pressure.
