Metalizer™ Cu-Brz10-Fe is an aluminum bronze alloy that offers excellent weldability. The alloy is suitable for joining and surfacing welding of materials with similar compositions, such as manganese-silicon bronzes, copper-nickel alloys, and unalloyed or low-alloy steels. By forming a fine-grained α+κ microstructure, Metalizer™ Cu-Brz10-Fe offers an exceptional combination of high strength, good toughness, and excellent wear and cavitation resistance. These properties make the alloy the ideal choice for protective coatings on steel substrates in marine environments, chemical plants, or moving components subject to sliding stress. Typical applications include sliding layers, pump parts, valves, machine elements, and components exposed to cavitation. Thanks to its excellent weldability, the alloy is also suitable as a buffer layer for connecting different metallurgical systems.
